UK government grants are free for women to apply for, as they are free for everyone to apply for. They are not free money programmes, either, and will not be handed out to everyone who applies. To be awarded money you must qualify for the grant programme and write a proposal to it that is chosen as the winner. Then you will be awarded the grant funding and must spend it in accordance with what the intentions of the grant are. There are grants only open to women, which may be beneficial because they have less competition.
